Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo will play friends. They will star in 'Project Y'.

Production company Climax Studio announced on the 30th, "Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo have been cast in 'Project Y'. They will be playing friends of the same age." 

"Project Y" is a crime noir. It is set in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea. It follows two friends' desire to end the game by stealing 8 billion gold bars. 

This is the first time the two will be starring in the same movie. Han So-hee is known for her roles in the Netflix series "Gyeongseong Creature" and "My Name." 

Jeon Jong-seo has shown her intense charisma in the movie "Burning," the Netflix movie "Call," and the TV series "Bargain." She also showed  high-demanding action skills.  

The pairing adds to the intrigue. "Their charm and chemistry will make us look forward to the birth of a new female buddy movie," said an official.

The movie is directed by Lee Hwan. Lee has directed films with unconventional themes, such as "Park Hwa-young" and "Young Adults Matter." He has been recognized for his detailed directing skills.    

Meanwhile, 'Project Y' is aiming for a crank-in in the second half of this year. It will be released as a series.
