(G)I-dle's Soojin's Accuser Found Not Guilty of Defamation Charges. Soojin to Leave Cube Entertainment
by. Jiho Kim

“The police have concluded that Soojin’s defamation case against the accuser cannot be considered a crime.”

Soojin, previously a part of (G)I-dle was swept up in controversy over school bullying and assault cases in March of 2021. The idol had officially left the group in August.

A representative for Cube Entertainment announced, “We inform you of the termination of Soojin’s contract with Cube Entertainment.”

Soojin had taken matters into her own hands when the star personally submitted a lawsuit against the accuser for defamation of character and misinformation in March of last year.

The accuser had accounted events in which Soojin called the accuser’s younger sibling to the bathroom along with their friends and had ordered them to assault one another.

The idol denied all allegations at the time and had sent a lawsuit of her own for defamation of character against the accuser.

However, the accuser has pled innocent as of today. A representative for the label remarked, “The long investigation was set in place to organize the facts in the accusations. However, it’s been decided that the accuser is found innocent.”

The label further commented, “We respect the police’s decisions, and we apologize for having caused distress to many through this case.”

(G)I-dle is set to return as a five-member group on March 14th for the release of “I NEVER DIE.”
