Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae Soo, and Jung Ho Yeon are making their way to the Critics’ Choice Awards (CCA).
The CCA issued the list of attendees for the Annual 27th CCA on March 9th (KST). Among the listed were three of the members of the “Squid Game” cast; Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae Soo, and Jung Ho Yeon. The three stars are expected to act as presenters and nominees.
The wildly popular Netflix series is nominated under three categories. “Squid Game” is under “Best Drama Series” and “Best Foreign Language Series.” The show’s protagonist, Lee Jung Jae is noted for his outstanding performance in “Best Actor in a Drama Series.”
Lee Jung Jae competes with other well-renowned actors such as Sterling K. Brown- “This Is Us as Randall Pearson”, Mike Colter- “Evil as David Acosta”, Brian Cox- “Succession as Logan Roy”, Billy Porter- “Pose as Pray Tell”, and Jeremy Strong- “Succession as Kendall Roy.”
The actor is currently making rounds in prestigious American award shows. Lee Jung Jae has claimed best lead nomination wins at the SAG Awards and the Independent Spirit Awards.
The CCA is one of the biggest award shows in North America. The awards show caters to recognizing performances in both film and TV series. The show is said to be of great help in narrowing future Oscar wins.
The Annual 27th Critics’ Choice Awards is expected to be aired, March 13th on Korean broadcasting channel, TBS.
