Sakura Miyawaki and Kim Chaewon Reportedly Making Official Debut in May!

Former Izone members Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chae Won are reportedly set for their official debut in May.

Source Music (Hybe) had confirmed through a phone call on March 21st. The label remarked, "The goal is to get Sakura and Kim Chaewon to debut in May."

The girl group will mark the label's first girl group. The only girl group that exists under the label through the acquirement of another is Fromis 9. News of the debut of a new girl group is raising anticipation for another global Kpop group.

Sakura and Kim Chaewon are on their way to becoming groupmates once again after the disbandment of Izone. Besides the two stars, another former contestant of "Produce48", Heo Joon Ji, is reportedly a part of the new girl group.

More details regarding the debut of the new girl group have not been disclosed yet. A representative for the label remarked, "We will announce further details once things have been decided."

Sakura and Kim Chaewon have previously made their debut in 2018 under "Izone" through the competition show, "Produce48." The group disbanded in April of 2021.
