Seventeen's Jeonghan is the latest star to test positive for the novel coronavirus. The idol's itinerary has been cleared for the time being.
Pledis Entertainment made the announcement on the group's Weverse page and wrote, "Seventeen's Jeonghan recently tested positive for covid-19."
According to the label, Jeonghan took the at-home covid-19 test last night on April 13th (KST) and tested positive for the virus. The idol was then taken to get tested at a screening clinic. Jeonghan's results came back as positive.
Pledis Entertainment further explained, "Jeonghan has a sore throat and is experiencing mild symptoms. He is currently in isolation and won't participate in promotions until he makes a full recovery."
Jeonghan was said to have crossed paths with members Mingyu and Vernon but is regarded as safe due to the fact that everyone present were wearing their masks. The three members were also said to have spent little time together, making it hard for there to have been a transmission. The other members are not showing any form of symptoms at the moment.
Lastly, Pledis Entertainment concluded the announcement by stating, "We prioritize the health of our artists. We will do everything we can so that Jeonghan can make a full and quick recovery."
