Personal information of twenty-two fan club members of Gfriend have been leaked.

Source Music accidentally leaked the private information of twenty-two fan club members. The label is now fined for a total of 3 million won.

 The Personal Information Protection Committee ruled for Source Music to pay a fine of 3 million won on April 13th. The label in turn implied that it did not follow the safety measures obligations.

The committee spoke, "The person responsible for the survey had accidentally leaked the personal information of twenty-two people. To prevent this from happening again, we are issuing this fine."

They further explained, "Personal information leakage may occur even in minor cases due to the carelessness of the person responsible and negligence of management, businesses should check and be held responsible at all times."

Source Music announced Gfriend's disbandment last year in May. The label had rolled out refunds for fan club members. Around the time that a survey took place, twenty two members' personal information was unfortunately leaked to the public for a total of nine minutes.

Source Music apologized and stated, "The label had used a Google questionnaire during the refund and the privacy settings were revealed to the public. We apologize and will take responsibility."

The label personally reported their actions to the Personal Information Protection Committee and sent separate emails to the victims.

Previous Gfriend members Yuju is currently pursuing a solo career, Sowon is active as an actress, and Sinbi, Eunha, and Umji are members of "VIVIZ." Yerin will soon debut as a solo artist.
