"I apologize to the person who found himself in the midst of controversy due to speculations." (Jang Si Nae)
Influencer Jang Si Nae apologized for causing damage to Exo's Chanyeol for her viral YouTube clip. The influencer took to her personal Instagram account to relay a message, "I think a lot of people were confused over this incident, I'm sorry."
Jang Si Nae posted a video of her apology and spoke, "Speculations and false claims have been made to be true, and for that I am sorry."
The influencer also extended her apologies to Chanyeol. "I also apologize to the person (Chanyeol) who found himself to be in the midst of controversy due to speculations and allegations."
Jang further explained, "I have never once mentioned the name of an idol in regard to the video. Even if one finds the actual person in the video, I have no intentions on confirming it."
Jang Si Nae previously appeared on an episode on a Channel S show and opened up about an incident in which the influencer was the victim of reckless driving and profanity.
The influencer brought up the owner of a foreign car, who drove recklessly and gave her the finger. "Turns out, he was a very famous idol." Jang also uploaded the video to her YouTube account.
People flocked to see the video and drew speculations on the idol to be Chanyeol due to the car, tattoo, and the dog in the car. Jang Si Nae also hit the like button on a comment that said "It's Chanyeol, isn't it?"
SM Entertainment issued an announcement on April 27th, stating, "The person in question is not Chanyeol. We plan to take legal action if the false allegations continue."
