"Can I by any chance get an autography for a child?"
Last year in August, a parent had allegedly sent a letter to an entertainment company. The parent's child was said to have been through a lot, taking a toll on the child's health.
However, the one thing that did make the child's day brighter, was one specific female idol. The parent, hoping for a chance to make their child's day, sent the handwritten letter.
Parent A wrote, "The child gains strength by listening to the star's music and looking at her pictures. I'm very grateful and I wish I could do more for my child, so I write this letter."
Was there an answer?
Parent A took to a community board to write, "It was like a miracle. The head leader of the group's management personally came over to deliver the CD and a handwritten letter."
The parent wrote, "The idol had asked the team leader to send it over along with a message, a hand written letter, and a picture."
The letter on the community board read, "What can I do to repay her kindness." and used the hashtags #Heartwarming #NiceWorldOutThere in Korean.
Nine months after the post, the idol in question turned out to be (G)I-DLE's Miyeon.
The parent took to the board on May 9th and wrote, "I read Miyeon's handwritten letter again last night. I should've revealed who it was then, I'm apologetic that I didn't."
Cube Entertainment confirmed the heartwarming story via phone call and revealed, "It's true that it happened last year. We remember hearing about Miyeon's fan and doing what we could."
(G)I-DLE made their comeback with the hit track, "TOMBOY" in March. The song went on to sweep the charts and clinch #1 on major music shows.
Miyeon is currently promoting her solo debut track. The singer released "MY" on April 27th, and is seeing much success with her title track, "DRIVE."
