BTS have officially been invited to the White House to meet President Joe Biden.
The White House announced yesterday, “BTS will be meeting President Biden to discuss matters related to combating anti-Asian hate crimes.”

The K-pop boyband is set to meet the President on next Tuesday, May 31st. This coincides with the fact that May is the AANHPI (Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander) Heritage Month.
The White House added, “The escalation in anti-Asian crime and hostility towards Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) comes amid the Covid-19 pandemic. President Biden has already signed the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act into law in May 2021 which addresses the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes.”
It is not questionable as to why the President has particularly chosen BTS. They continued, "we will also discuss the importance of diversity and inclusion and BTS' platform as youth ambassadors who spread a message of hope and positivity across the world."

RM, the leader from BTS stated, “I am truly honoured to be in this position today. I have seen the White House only from afar when I was young, but here I am today, being invited to discuss global issues. This special invitation is all thanks to our fans.”
Meanwhile, the boy group is to release their new album ‘Proof’ next month on June 10th.
