by. soobyn Park

K-pop girl group aespa will be releasing their second mini album ‘Girls’ on July 8th, dropping charts in Korea and America simultaneously. SM Entertainment announced today that they have partnered with US record label Warner Records to work on future projects for the global distribution and marketing of aespa’s music.

The girl group have announced an upcoming official release for their English single ‘Life’s Too Short’ on June 24th. Earlier this year, aespa successfully performed the English track and other chart-topping singles at their debut Coachella stage in April.

Warner Records Co-Chairmen Tom Corson and Aaron Bay-Shuck remarked, “Under the leadership of SM Entertainment’s founder Lee Soo-Man, aespa has already established a strong influence all over the world.” They added, “We consider it an honor that aespa has joined the Warner Records family as our first K-pop group.”

Co-CEOs of SM Entertainment Lee Sung-Soo and Tak Young-Jun commented, “We are well aware of all the global projects that Warner Records have successfully led in the past. We will try our best to ensure that we can lead aespa to grow bigger and earn reputation globally, alongside Warner Records.”

The members of the group added, “In addition to our new album that will be released this summer, please look out for more adventurous news that lie ahead for us in the future!”
