Singer and actress IU reflected on a shy and timid act that happened recently at the Cannes Film Festival.
Ahead of the release for movie 'Broker', IU had an interview with a Korean media company in Seoul.
IU made an appearance in her first commercial film by featuring in 'Broker' and was invited to the 75th Cannes International Film Festival held in France last month under the competition section.
The film ‘Broker' depicts the special journey of those who have a relationship around a baby box. The ensemble of actors and Japanese director has attracted the attention of many.
Song Kang-Ho, who plays Sang-Hyeon, a laundry owner and adoption broker, won the Cannes Best Actor Award for this film.
When IU was asked to comment on her first Cannes Film Festival invitation she said, "It was like a movie set. It felt like a script as it was too good to be true."
Regarding the video of the timid heart that became a hot topic among fans, she remarked, "There is the strangest picture and clip left of myself. I made the heart in a shy and unconfident manner." She added, "I made a real mistake. It was the worst thing I could have done in Cannes."
She also shuddered, saying, "I will be sure to be doing it with confidence next time. I have even written it all down! I really hope I get the opportunity before I die.”
Meanwhile, 'Broker' will be officially released in cinemas on June 8th.
