Actor Cho Hyun-cheol donated his father's condolence money to the Military Human Rights Center.

The Military Human Rights Center announced on the 9th that "Mr. Cho Hyun-cheol has been delivering donations, saying he wants to be a small help to the center that is trying to improve the human rights of soldiers."
The organization did not disclose the specific amount of the donation, but said, "There are many cases where regular sponsorship has been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so the financial situation has become difficult, which is a great help."
According to the center, while looking for a group to donate the money he received at the funeral of his father Cho Jung-rae, an emeritus professor of transportation engineering at Myongji University, who passed away on the 22nd of last month, he thought of the late Sergeant Byun Hee-soo and decided to donate it to the Military Human Rights Center, the center said.

Previously, Cho received the Best Supporting Actor Award at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards for his role as Cho Seok-bong in the Netflix series 'D.P.' about the army and military police. At the awards ceremony, he became a topic of conversation by mentioning the names of Sergeant Byun.
