Netflix has officially announced the production and casting of Seasons 2 and 3 of 'Sweet Home'. The main characters of season 1 made a comeback, and new faces such as Oh Jung-se and Jinyoung joined.
'Sweet Home' is based on the popular webtoon of the same name. The drama tells the story of Hyeon-su, a high school student who is a hermit and loner. It shows the bizarre and shocking incidents that Hyeon-su goes through in the apartment he has moved to.
Season 1 drew attention with the content of residents fighting their neighbors who have turned into monsters. In particular, various creatures raised the tension and received favorable reviews from many fans around the world.
Song Kang (Hyeon-su), Lee Jin-wook (Sang-wook), Lee Si-young (Lee Kyung), Go-min-si (Eun-yu), and Park Gyu-young (Joo-soo) from Season 1 reappear. As Green Home residents in Season 1, they battled monster neighbors.
Yoo Oh-seong, Oh Jung-se, Kim Mu-yeol, and Jinyoung join as new characters. Yoo Oh-seong takes on the role of Sergeant Tak In-hwan, who leads the special forces guard. He plans to protect the safety of the people from monsters.
Oh Jung-se takes on the role of Dr. Lim, who explores vaccines. Kim Mu-yeol takes on the role of Kim Young-hoo, a former UDT sergeant and the second-in-command of the Guard. Jinyoung is in charge of Private Park Chan-young of the Guards.
Director Lee Eung-bok of Season 1 and the production team work together again. PD Lee Eung-bok said, "Season 2 will be set in a new location. I think that Season 2 will be able to unravel technically unsolved things."
