On July 26th, L’ July Entertainment released a statement to say "Hwang Chansung and his wife recently welcomed a baby girl into their family. Both mother and child are in good health.”
Former 2PM member Hwang Chansung announced his marriage to fans last year in December through a handwritten letter. At the same time, he announced the surprise news of a baby on the way with his fiancée who is eight years his senior.
Hwang Chansung personally wrote to fans last year, “There is someone I have been dating for a long time. After being discharged from the military, I have been preparing and planning a wedding. During this process, the blessing of a new life came faster than expected.”
Regarding the bride-to-be, he added, “The bride is someone who has been a haven for my unstable heart for a long time.”
Since Hwang Chansung left JYP Entertainment in March this year, he signed an exclusive contract with L’ July Entertainment and is currently solidifying his position as an actor.
