On July 28th, Pledis Entertainment announced that Jang Gyuri will be leaving Fromis 9. The agency stated, “Jang Gyuri will end her contract with us at the end of this month. We will start a new challenge.” This means that the fifth mini-album ‘From Our Momento Box’ will be the last album for Jang Gyuri.
In August last year, the girl group members signed a new exclusive contract when they transferred to Pledis Entertainment. However, it is known that Jang Gyuri did not sign the new contract but maintained the terms of the original contract signed with the previous agency.
A representative from Pledis Entertainment said, "The decision was made after discussing what would be the best direction for all. The remaining eight members are about to take on a new challenge. We ask for your continuous support and love for Fromis 9 and Jang Gyuri, who has made a wonderful contribution so far.”
