Itzy’s Yeji and Ryujin, and American popstar Bebe Rexha will release a surprise collaboration song. The remix version of 'Break My Heart Myself' will hit the charts globally at 13:00 (KST) on July 29th.
Last month, members Yeji and Ryujin unveiled a performance video of ‘Break My Heart Myself’ on the official YouTube channel of Mnet Digital Studio M2’s ‘Studio Dance.’
BeBe Rexha saw the clip and praised the two members on her personal Instagram, which is how the artists got together for a collaboration. Due to this viral, the video recorded 25.86 million views on YouTube and listeners searched for ways to listen to the original song.
In the remix version of 'Break My Heart Myself', Yeji and Ryujin participated in singing. It is also noticeable that some of the parts and lyrics have been written differently from the original track.
On the other hand, the girl group recently released their fifth mini-album ‘Checkmate’ on July 15th. The title track is ‘Sneakers’ and peaked at no. 8 on Billboard charts, setting a new best record for the group.
Itzy are scheduled for their first world tour 'Checkmate' from next month and will be starting in Seoul on September 6th, followed by eight more concerts in the United States until October.
