Girl group Le Sserafim have announced their official fandom name on the 99th day of their debut.
At midnight on August 8th, Le Sserafim released a short clip on Weverse. The logo of ‘Le Sserafim’ emerged into one line and the fandom name ‘FEARNOT’ appeared on the screen. Huh Yun-Jin’s voice is heard as she mutters “Bloom.”
'Fearnot' combines the word 'fear’ with ‘not.’ It has the following three meanings: firstly it expresses Le Sserafim moving forward with no fear, secondly the fearless fans who do not fear to support and love Le Sserafim and finally a word play in Korean as the verb ‘to bloom’ sounds much like ‘fear not’ when verbally said. All in all, every moment will bloom when Le Sserafim meets their fans.
Le Sserafim made their debut in May this year with their debut album ‘Fearless.’ The album has continued to boast its popularity on both domestic and international charts for three months running, making Le Sserafim the highest performing K-pop girl group of all the K-pop girl groups that made their debut this year.
Recently, the group also had an update as it changed to five members from six. Former member Kim Garam who was accused of school bullying withdrew from the group due to many controversial issues, leaving members Kazuha, Sakura, Kim Chae-Won, Huh Yun-Jin and Hong Eun-Chae.
