Monsta X's rapper I.M ends his contract with Starship Entertainment, however has announced he will continue as a member of Monster X. 

On August 8th, Starship Entertainment announced, “recently, we have renewed our contract with the following five members: Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon and Joohoney. They added, “after thorough discussions with I.M, we have ended the exclusive contract with him however Monsta X will continue group activities as a six-member group.” 

The agency promised full and systematic support regardless and said, "we will do our best to ensure there is no differentiation in respect to the members’ activities."

The agency ended the article, saying, “we ask for your unwavering support and warm encouragement for the six members of Monsta X.”
