Singer Kevin Oh (31) announced his marriage with actress Gong Hyo-jin (41). On August 17th, Kevin Oh posted a long letter with a photo of a half-filled sheet music titled, “You and I asleep at dawn.”
Next to the title of the song, it is written “Composed by Kevin Oh and lyrics by Gong Hyo-Jin.” It is apparent that Kevin Oh has composed a special song, with Gong writing the lyrics.
Kevin Oh wrote, “Two years ago, I met a girl. I’ve met my best friend for life, my soulmate. And soon, I’ll be able to call her my wife.”
Kevin Oh is a Korean-American, born in New York. In 2015, he rose to fame when he won Mnet's 'Superstar K7.’ After his win, he continued with his music career as an active band member of ‘Afternoon’ through JTBC’s 'Super Band’ program.
He revealed that the couple will be holding a private wedding in his home town of New York, USA, with only family and close friends invited. The wedding is planned for October later this year.
Kevin Oh continued, “A new start to both my life and my music. Let’s do our best to live our best life, together.”
On the same day, a representative for Gong Hyo-Jin said, "Gong Hyo-Jin and Kevin Oh will begin their new start together as a married couple. We ask for your blessings and love for the two people who are about to take the next step into their lives.”
Kevin Oh and Gong Hyo-Jin have been dating for two years and made their relationship public in April this year. It is said that they had already started preparations for their wedding at the time of the reveal. Also, Gong Hyo-Jin received a bouquet at Son Ye-Jin's wedding in March this year so it was no surprise when her wedding announcement was made yesterday.
