BTS’ J-Hope donates 100 million KRW for flood disaster victims in Korea
by. soobyn Park

BTS' J-Hope has taken the lead in good deeds.

The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced this morning, "BTS member J-Hope has donated 100 million Korean won (KRW) today to support the victims of the recent flood disaster in the central regions of Korea."

It is known that J-Hope decided to donate in order to help the victims who recently lost their homes due to sudden torrential downpours across the country in Korea. The association will be delivering donations to neighborhoods that were affected.

Secretary-General Kim Jeong-Hee of Hope Bridge Association said, "I am truly grateful for J-Hope's kindness. We will do our best to deliver our warm hearts to the victims."

With this donation, J-Hope was registered as a member of the 'Honors Club', a group of highly-paid supporters of the UNICEF Korean Committee. To join the Honors Club, you must exceed 100 million KRW in accumulated donations. J-Hope has rocketed straight to the honorary club with his tremendous donation.

J-Hope’s good deeds has been continuous since his debut and it is not an understatement to say that he is a representative donation angel in the entertainment industry. J-Hope has donated exceptional amounts under his name alone.

Examples of his donation listings include: 800 million KRW to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation in 2018 for hospitalized children, 100 million KRW to low-income families in February 2019, 100 million KRW for hospitalized children in need of treatment in December 2019, 100 million KRW to support children from families in crisis of the Covid-19 pandemic, 150 million KRW for disabled children in February 2021, 100 million KRW to children victims of domestic violence in Tanzania (Africa) in May 2021, and lastly, 100 million KRW to underprivileged children in Korea in December 2021.

A big thumbs up to J-Hope for continuing his good deeds!
