Girls' Generation expressed their gratitude to fans in the last episode of JTBC’s entertainment program 'Soshi Tam Tam', which was aired on August 23rd. Commemorating their 15th anniversary, the members thanked fans for their unwavering love since their debut.
On this day, Girls' Generation revealed that they are working hard on recording new songs and rehearsing choreography ahead of their comeback in five years. The members mentioned that everyone worked hard to make the 15th anniversary album to perfection.
In particular, Girls' Generation expressed their feelings towards fans. Yuri said, "The members are all working in different places now, but we all managed to get back together as a unit and the driving force behind this was Sowon (name of fan club).”
Sooyoung added, "We would not have been able to prepare for our comeback if it were not for Sowon. The desire to release a new song grew in me day by day.”
Tiffany then sniffled and said, "We were able to come this far thanks to all of our fans and their love and trust. Thank you for staying by our sides.” Members Seohyun and Yoona added that they could not wait to meet fans on stage in the near future.
Moments from the day of their comeback were also shared. Girls’ Generation got together to look back at fifteen years of history as one of K-pop’s most successful girl groups. Watching clips from their last concert, Yoona and Sunny expressed regret saying, "It would have been better if we had told fans back then that we would be back in five years, not four. To think about how long they had to wait without any promises is so painful and regretful.”
To wrap up, Yuri said to the other members, "Let's be forever!" and made a heart with her hands. Sooyoung responded in the same way, bringing laughter to the end of the episode.
The members were asked, "What is Girls' Generation to me?" Seohyun said, "It's fate. How did we meet? How are we still together? This in itself is a miracle and fate." The rest of the members added, "A friend and family you can trust anytime," and added, "My soul, my faith, my country."
