BTS are to hold a concert in support of The 2030 Busan World Exposition, later in October this year.
Big Hit Music Agency announced on its official website today that "BTS will hold a concert titled 'BTS Yet To Come in Busan' on October 15th in support for bidding for the 2030 Busan World Expo.”
A large-scale concert was announced. An official from the agency explained, "This performance will be held on a special stage in Ilgwang, Gijang-gun in Busan. The venue can host 100,000 people and the concert will be held free of charge.”
For those who cannot make it in person, the concert will be streamed live on the day as well as screen viewings from the outdoor parking lot of the Busan Port International Passenger Terminal.
Recently, BTS was officially appointed as the 2030 Busan World Expo ambassador and have since planned various public relations activities in order to gather interest and support from people around the world for the bid.
At the appointment ceremony on July 19th BTS said, "starting with the Busan concert this year, we will do our best to successfully host the Busan World Expo. As ambassadors, we will proudly promote Korea's nature, tradition and culture to the world."
