On September 28th, the US weekly Time magazine released a list of the most influential people in the world titled the 'Time 100 Next.’
The 'Time 100 Next' reveals a selective 100 next-generation leaders who will shape the future in various fields including business, entertainment, sports, politics, health and science.
Model and actress Jung Hoyeon was named in the “Phenoms” section of the list, which recognizes those who have garnered phenomenal success and popularity in their own relative fields.
Jung Ho-Yeon was named as a 'wonderful person' and selected in the Top 100, which could be said was inevitable especially after her cast in Squid Game.
Jung Hoyeon stood shoulder to shoulder with world-class celebrities including Sydney Sweeney, Simone Ashley and NBA basketball player Ja Morant and more.
In addition, in this year’s list, popstar Caesar, actress Lily Collins, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas and Ukraine Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov were also selected.
Director Hwang Dong-Hyuk of Squid Game left a comment by saying, “I call Hoyeon a warrior as a joke because she seems like she is fighting her fame, the expectations that follow and jealousy as well as the desire for success every day.” He continued, “she is a strong fighter with incredible skills and courage and I hope that at least when she is acting she can feel at peace.”
Previously, Jung Hoyeon won the Best Actress Award at the 'American SAG' as well as nominations for the Best Supporting Actress at the 74th Emmy Awards. Also, the model made history by glorifying the cover of ‘Vogue US’ as the first Asian.
