On November 27th, Sunmi posted a picture on her Instagram story. It was a selfie with ex-Loona member Chuu, with no caption but just a blow-a-kiss emoji. Just like the emoji, Sunmi was hugging Chuu and blowing a kiss to Chuu. Chuu, on the other hand, was looking directly into the camera.
Recently, Chuu has been removed from girl group Loona after accusations arose of Chuu mistreating staff and using abusive language towards them. However, soon after the announcement that Chuu was no longer a member of Loona, Hyunjin openly supported Chuu by saying, “my head hurts and I am angry. I am really angry.”
In addition, other members of staff who had worked with Chuu supported her, leaving comments such as “keep Chuu.”
It is known that Sunmi and Chuu became friends after starring on Mnet's 'On the Run' series which was broadcast in 2020. During the series, Sunmi showed heartwarming support by comforting Chuu saying, “what you are going through is like seeing myself at the beginning of my debut.”
