On November 29th, Billboard released their latest chart rankings to reveal that Jungkook had made it into Top 10 with his new official FIFA soundtrack for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, titled ‘Dreamers.’
On the ‘Global 200’ chart, Jungkook ranked 9th and on the ‘Global’ main chart (excluding the US), he ranked 4th. The rankings display Jungkook’s ability to capture the hearts and ears of a global audience.
In addition to Billboard, ‘Dreamers’ topped the iTunes Top Song Chart in 104 countries and regions within just the first day of its release. The lyrics sing, "look who we are, we are the dreamers", expressing the World Cup spirit of challenge and determination.
In particular, Jungkook performed ‘Dreamers’ at the opening ceremony of the 22nd World Cup at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor, Qatar. His performance received an explosive response from soccer fans around the world. Jungkook made history as he was the first Korean artist to sing and perform the official World Cup theme song.
