by. soobyn Park

Netflix series ‘The Glory’ (directed by Ahn Gil-Ho and written by Kim Eun-Sook) released a teaser poster on December 1st. In the poster, Song Hye-Kyo, who plays the character Dong-Eun, can be seen sitting under an embroidered tree with blooming flowers. The atmosphere is beautiful yet mysterious, with the focus on Song Hye-Kyo who looks lonely and troubled. Her narrative is scripted on the top of the poster which reads, “there is no forgiveness, so there will be no glory.”

'The Glory' is centered around a woman who was shaken and hurt by violence in her childhood, and risks her whole life to get her revenge on those who ruined her early life.

Song Hye-kyo and Lee Do-Hyun take on the leading roles, with the addition of Lim Ji-Yeon, Yeom Hye-Ran, Park Sung-Hoon and Jung Sung-Il to complete the cast.

‘The Glory’ has been written by K-pop drama hit maker Kim Eun-Sook, who is famous for writing ‘Guardian: The Lonely and Great God’ and ‘Mr. Sunshine.’  In particular, this is the second time Kim Eun-Sook and actress Song Hye-Kyo have teamed for a drama.

Director Ahn praised the plot by saying, “’The Glory’ is a well-crafted storyline so be sure to keep a look out.” An official from the drama said, "It is like a tragic myth from a fairytale book.”

‘The Glory’ will premiere on December 30th.
