On December 13th, BTS posted a group photo on Twitter with the caption, “Our Hyung (older brother), best of luck to you.” All members were seen gathered together at Jin’s enlistment site.
Posing affectionately, one photo showed the members circled around Jin and putting their hands on his shaven head.
J-Hope also left a message on his Instagram account saying, “let’s be healthy and happy. Hyung, I love you” and posted a photo sitting at a dinner table with Jin. He added, “the last supper prepared by Seok-Jin hyung.”
V also uploaded a picture of himself performing with Jin on his Instagram story. He added the caption, “don’t get hurt”, expressing sincerity in the short sentence.
Yesterday, Jin entered the 5th Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do. As announced, he entered the site quietly before embarking on his journey for the mandatory military service.
Jin is the eldest and first member of BTS to enlist. After five weeks of basica training, he will be deployed to his designated unit. His expected discharge date will be June 12th, 2024.
