On December 26th, Hijium Studio released an official statement to say, "Song Joong-Ki is currently in a relationship. We ask for your understanding that we cannot confirm any other information other than the fact that he is in a relationship.”
According to media reports, the actor has supposedly been dating a British woman for a year. The girlfriend is not in the entertainment industry and it has been reported that the two met last year through an acquaintance.
Sports Chosun reported that the couple were often seen dating near their homes and dining together at famous restaurants.
On December 7th, it was reported that Song and his girlfriend attended the 'Reborn Rich' media conference held in Sentosa, Singapore. Two days later, the two were captured on the arrivals floor of Incheon International Airport.
Song Joong-Ki married actress Song Hye-Kyo who was his co-star in 2017 KBS2 drama ‘Descendants of the Sun’, however divorced in June 2019, one year and eight months into their marriage.
Recently, his role in the JTBC drama ‘Reborn Rich’ has been a successful hit and it is rumored he is positively reviewing a role in the upcoming film 'Ro Ki Wan.'
