BTS' J-Hope introduced as "the person everyone wants to kiss"

On December 31st, BTS’ J-Hope made an appearance on ABC TV’s 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2023.’

During the opening scene, J-Hope brought a legendary funny moment with his confused expression when the presenter introduced the star as “the person everyone wants to kiss, J-Hope!”

At Times Square in New York, J-Hope made history as he performed on ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ show as the first ever Korean solo artist. In 2019, he performed with other BTS members. 

The performance included a medley of his solo hit songs including, ‘= (Equal Sign)’, ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’ and ‘Butter (Holiday Remix).’

After his stage, J-Hope shared his thoughts by saying, "I am grateful to be able to share such a special moment with you. I have good memories with BTS but his moment as a soloist is equally meaningful.”

J-Hope's puzzled look after being introduced as “the person everyone wants to kiss” is going viral online, spreading through social media. 

Netizens who saw this responded with, "his expression is priceless”, and “his embarrassed look is so cute.”

'New Year's Rockin’ Eve’ is a special New Year's Eve broadcast that runs from the evening of December 31st to the early morning of January 1st of the new year.

It is one of America’s largest scale New Year’s Eve live show with only the best artists invited to perform on the stage. The broadcast is run throughout the US, including Los Angeles and Miami.
