On January 29th, The Black Label announced, "We have signed a management contract with actor Park Bo-Gum, who has been much loved by the public across screens and dramas.”
The announcement continued, “We are delighted to work with Park Bo-Gum, who is a global influence beyond Korea. We will make full use of our strengths and expertise to provide the best support.”
After making his debut in 2011 with the movie ‘Blind’, Park Bo-Gum has taken on roles in K-dramas including ‘Wonderful Mama’, ‘Wonderful Days’, ‘Hello Monster’, 'Encounter' and 'Record of Youth.’ In films, he has taken up roles in 'The Admiral: Roaring Currents', 'Coin Locker Girl', 'Seo Bok' and 'Wonderland.’
In particular, Park Bo-Gum’s role as ‘Choi Taek’ in sensational K-drama ‘Reply 1988’, created a buzz and syndrome amongst global fans. Following on, his role as Crown Prince Lee Yeong in historical drama ‘Love in the Moonlight’ also gained explosive popularity and led the drama to a major success.
The Black Label, Park Bo-Gum’s new agency, is a management agency founded by general creative director TEDDY, and has artists such as Taeyang, Jeon Somi and Zion T, R.Tee, Loren, Vince, Bryan Chase and Ella Gross under their label. With the new joining of Park Bo-Gum, the agency forecasts expansion into the acting industry as well as music and modelling.
