On March 2nd, the sixth episode of Suga's talk corner 'Suchwita' was uploaded on BTS’ YouTube channel 'Bangtan TV.’ On this day, actor Lee Sung-Min made an appearance as a guest.
In the clip, Lee Sung-Min recalled the time before his debut, in the days he lived in a theater company. Hearing this, Suga said, "Before my debut, when I was in high school I had a part-time job as a crew in a music studio, and I remember distributing flyers. I also held street concerts in Dongseong-ro, Daegu.”
Suga continued, "We used to perform in a group of seven people, at a fixed rate of 150,000 KRW for the day. But after the performance, the organizer who had told us the daily rate was 150,000 KRW, would always change their words and give us unused items or something. I hated it so much.”

Suga added, "It was a miserable cycle. I would not get paid for the flyers, nor for my performances. My studio was in Namsan-dong, Daegu, in the basement. I did not have enough money to buy furniture so I would go around my area and pick up waste furniture on rainy days. I managed to pick up a mattress so I ate and slept there, making my music.”
Suga mentioned, "At that time, Bang Si-Hyuk PD had just started a company called Big Hit. I saw a poster for auditions so I went straight to Seoul for the first audition. That is how I made my debut and made it as BTS.”
