BTS’ Suga has celebrated his birthday by donating 100 million KRW to aid emergency relief for the Turkey-Syria earthquake.

On March 9th, which is Suga’s birthday, Non-Governmental Organisation Save the Children revealed, “BTS’ Suga has donated 100 million KRW for emergency relief in Turkey and Syria in aid to support the damage and loses from a record-breaking earthquake.”

Suga said, "So many children and families have suffered great damage. I send my condolences to the survivors and victims. I hope that the donations can provide relief items for the children, such as blankets, mattresses and school supplies.”

On his birthday last year, Suga donated 100 million KRW to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association in aid to help wildfire victims in Gangwon-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do. In 2021, Suga donated 100 million KRW to Keimyung University Seongseo Dongsan Hospital in his hometown Daegu, in order to help child cancer patients.

Additionally, in February 2020, he donated 100 KRW to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to help those in his hometown Daegu who had suffered from Covid-19.

Back in 2019, Suga donated 100 million KRW and 329 dolls to the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation under the name of ‘Army’, which is the fandom name of BTS.
