On March 22nd, BTS’ V shared several ‘V-cuts’ on Instagram.
After being appointed as one of two ‘Celine Boys’, V displayed several moods for the Celine Homme Summer 2023 Collection.' The post recorded 10 million likes in just one day.
V's iconic visual and concept summons the symbols of youth that once dominated an era, including John Travolta from 'Saturday Night Fever' to James Dean from 'Rebel Without a Cause' as well as River Phoenix from 'My Own Private Idaho.’
V pulled off a vintage look with a scruffy hairstyle in a retro setting. He showed off his picture-perfect abs wearing an open studded denim jacket. In another concept, V can be seen topless, revealing his collar bones with chunky and intricate necklaces layered around his neck, paired with chic sunglasses and earrings.
Not only this, but the star boasted an enormous banner of himself big enough to cover the building of Elle.
Celine’s director Hedi Slimane recently revealed in an interview with journalist Lizzie Goodman, “Music has always been first for me, and then fashion. As fashion has always correlated with music, this has only maximized my love for music, and it has become the base for my fashion.”
Previously, V has expressed a strong liking of photography and his respect for Hedi Slimane. As Celine’s brand ambassador, fans are excited to see a legendary creation of the two in collaboration.
