Actor Jung Hoyeon has confirmed her next film.Cast in a new film directed by Na Hong-jin.
Saram Entertainment reported on March 30,that "Jung Hoyeon will appear as the police 'Sung-ae' in Na Hong-jin's new film 'Hope' (tentative title)."
‘Hope’ tells the story of the residents of a remote port town called Hopo. It's a story of people facing an attack by an unidentified creature that started in a village one day.
Jung Hoyeon will work with Hwang Jung-min and Zo In-sung in acting. In addition, Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender confirmed their appearances earlier.
Director Na Hong-jin said, "Everything about Jung Hoyeon matches the character I imagined." Her bold and bright energy will be a great help to the film," he said, explaining the reason for the casting.
Jung Ho-yeon's agency said, "We will take good care of Jung Ho-yeon so that she can concentrate on filming her work and proceed with overseas work schedules."
Meanwhile, Jung Hoyeon debuted as an actor through Netflix's "Squid Game." She was the first Korean actor to win the Best Actress Award at the 28th American SAG Awards.
