According to the Hanteo Chart on April 7, a total of 1,172,351 copies of Jisoo's first single ‘ME’ (US) were sold from March 31 to April 6.
“ME” has sold 1.17 million copies in the first week since its release last Friday. This is a figure that follows BLACKPINK's second album ‘BORN PINK’ (15.4 million), the highest record for female singers in Korea, and the highest record in the history of K-pop women's.
The ‘ME’ LP version has not yet been released and is not included in the tally. Considering that pre-orders for the album have easily exceeded 1.31 million copies and BLACKPINK has established itself as a leader in the global music market, the final sales are expected to increase further.
Jisoo is showing an unrivaled presence not only in album sales but also in various global charts.
The title song ‘FLOWER’ topped the iTunes album chart in 64 countries, including the United States, and entered Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, at No. 6, the highest K-pop women's solo ranking. It also remained at the top of major domestic charts.
BLACKPINK, which includes Jisoo, will continue its heat with the largest world tour of K-pop girl groups, BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] with about 1.5 million people.
In addition, they will be on stage as a headliner at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the U.S. in April and the Hyde Park British Summer Time Festival in the U.K. in July.
