"Fifty Fifty" appeared on the billboard of Times Square in New York, USA.
An Sung-il, CEO of Attrakt Planning and Production, recently posted a photo on social media related to the first single title song’ Cupid’ of ‘Fifty Fifty.’
He announced that New Yorkers will listen to the song from April 8 (Korea Standard Time). The music video of 'Cupid' is aired at the top of the Times Square commercial.
According to CNBC, Times Square advertising costs range from at least $5,000 to up to $50,000 . It is a considerable cost for medium-sized agencies alone.
Some said they received support from the YouTube headquarters. As ‘Fifty Fifty’ received attention through TikTok, it was speculated that it was a strategy to promote the shorts channel.
An Attrakt official told Dispatch on April 10, "It is true that 'Fifty Fifty' is conducting a global promotion," but explained, "It is not supported by a specific company."
The date of suspension of advertising in Times Square has not been confirmed so far. The contract period is not specified separately, so there is room for change depending on the situation in the future.
In addition to Times Square, ‘Fifty Fifty’ is holding related events in LA.
It is also discussing plans to add promotions to other North American landmarks as well as two.
Previously, ‘Fifty Fifty’ entered the Billboard main single chart hot 100 with ‘Cupid’ last month. It was achieved in four months after debut. It beat NewJeans to set the shortest record on the chart.
Meanwhile, "Fifty Fifty" has completed its first single album music program. A press conference will be held on April 13.
