Ravi, a member of the group VIXX, who was put on trial for "military corruption," has officially announced his withdrawal from the team. Considering the situation in which member N (actor Cha Hak-yeon), who previously transferred his agency, has stepped up his acting career, it is expected that he will continue his group activities in a three-member system.
Ravi, who stood in court on charges of evading military service obligations on April 11, was sentenced to two years in prison by the prosecution.
After the trial, Ravi said through his agency, "I decided to leave the team so that there would be no more damage to the VIXX members who were affected by me," adding, "I sincerely thank all the members who have been lacking for 11 years and I am sorry beyond words.
VIXX, who debuted as a six-member group in 2012, met fans as individuals and units while continuing their activities as a group. In 2020, member Hong Bin withdrew from the group due to a slip of the tongue during a drunk broadcast, and in the same year, N (Cha Hak-yeon) turned into an actor by signing a contract with his agency 51K.
After his exclusive contract with Jellyfish Entertainment expired in 2019, Ravi established an independent label GROVL1N to focus on his personal activities. Ravi has never officially announced his withdrawal so far, so he was an artist in VIXX.
Many things have happened during the group's activities for 11 years since their debut, but three members, Ken, Leo, and Hyuk, have been maintaining VIXX. Due to Ravi's official announcement of his withdrawal, they will continue their activities from a five-member to a three-member.
