IVE’s Rei told her fans how she has been doing in a handwritten letter.

She is taking a temporary break due to health problems.

Rei posted a handwritten letter to her fan on April 12. 

“Dive (fandom name), you must have been surprised to hear the news,I thought a lot about what to say and how”.

“Since I became a member of IVE, I’ve been working hard with five of the best members. When I was happy and sad, the ones who always stayed by my side were the members and DIVEs. Right now, I’m taking a break for a while and slowly trying not to make this time to take care of myself meaningless.

“Every day without fail, I think of DIVEs and the members. I’m always curious and want to know what they’re doing, whether they’ve eaten, and if they had fun. They are all my most precious friends and family,” the female idol added.

Starship Entertainment announced Rei's temporary hiatus on April 11.

“Rei recently experienced unusual symptoms such as palpitations and frustration in her heart, and made the decision that she needed rest and treatment as recommended by her doctor”.

Meanwhile, IVE released their first album ‘I’ve IVE’ on April 10.IVE will work as a five-member group without Rei for the time being. Five members will continue their activities for the title song "I AM”.
