Amid the rumors that Blackpink's Rosé and actor Kang Dong-Won are dating despite their 16-year age gap, YG Entertainment stated yesterday on April 16th that it is difficult to confirm their relationship as it is “private matters.”
The dating rumors started circulating online after netizens spotted that the two were wearing matching layered necklaces and outfits in the same design. There were also reported sightings of Rosé and Kang Dong-Won in the same place, including an art fair held at COEX in Seoul last year. The photos of the pair at the art fair went viral as netizens emphasized that it is evidence of their relationship.
Additionally, a photo of a social gathering showed both Kang Dong-Won and Rosé in attendance, supporting their dating rumors more.
The pair were under the same agency, YG Entertainment, until recently. Blackpink’s Rosé made her debut after training as a YG Entertainment trainee and is still signed under the agency. On the other hand, Kang Dong-Won signed an exclusive contract with YG Entertainment in 2016 but ended his contract last year upon expiration.
