Jungkook expressed his surprise and gratitude towards Army fans who recognized him almost immediately, even though he had wanted to quietly and subtly attend the festival. He mentioned that maybe his new hairstyle was too much of a giveaway.
His post read, “I was originally going to quietly enjoy myself at Coachella but you all recognized me immediately. ARMYs you are amazing… Thank you… I love you… Still can’t get over the fact that you recognized me even though I cut new bangs.”
His post continued, “I took this photo instantly just to share with you all. Please understand it was rushed. But I am still surprised and am thinking a celeb is really different (I feel good about it).”
On Twitter, Jungkook’s ID ‘jungkookie’ immediately rocketed to second place in the ‘real time trend’ list in the US. His name additionally spread across 130 countries as a new trend, proving his immense global popularity. In addition, on China's Weibo, the news of Jungkook's visit to the Coachella Music Festival ranked 8th in the latest search rankings in both the general and entertainment categories.
Back in 2021, during a personal live broadcast, Jungkook sang ‘Stay’ by The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber. Afterwards, The Kid LAROI publicly praised Jungkook’s cover by commenting, “he was really cool.”
