On April 21st, Monsta X’s Shownu was officially discharged from the army after completing his social service duty. The star will return home quietly without any particular special event.
Shownu enlisted on July 22nd in 2021. After receiving three weeks of basic military training, he fulfilled his military duty as a social service personnel. Previously, Shownu was diagnosed with a retinal detachment in his left eye in July 2020 and underwent surgery. He was judged unfit for active duty and therefore enrolled for social services.
Shownu made his debut with Monsta X in 2014 and is the leader and vocalist of the boy group. Monsta X has since gained popularity worldwide with some of their mega hits including, ‘Trespass’, ‘Dramarama’ and ‘Fantasia.’
