"MONSTA X" Joohoney will start his first solo career in eight years since his debut.

Joohoney released his first EP ‘LIGHTS’ coming soon on MONSTA X's official social media on May 1.

The photo contained Joohoney's solo debut date and the name of his first solo EP. The desert and sky were placed upside down, raising questions about the concept.

Joohoney debuted as MONSTA X in 2015. He was the main rapper and received enthusiastic love. He has also expanded his capabilities as a mixtape album and producer.

He is active as a program MC as well. He is appearing as MC on Mnet's "M Countdown" and JTBC's "Korean’s Food Tray". 

Expectations are high on what he will show as a solo artist. The agency said, "This is the first solo album that contains Joohoney's colour".

Meanwhile, Joohoney will release his first solo EP ‘Light’ on May 22. Prior to his solo debut, he will introduce various teasing promotion contents.
