Guinness World Records recently announced on their official website that BTS’ Jungkook had been named the ‘Male Artist to Reach 1 Billion Streams on Spotify in the Shortest Time among K-pop Soloists.’

Guinness World Records stated, "On March 27th, Jungkook exceeded 1 billion streams with just three songs on Spotify.” The announcement continued, “He broke the previous record held by Blackpink's Lisa of 411 days by achieving the record in just 409 days."

Jungkook achieved this record with his webtoon soundtrack ‘Stay Alive’, his collaboration with Charlie Puth ‘Left and Right’ and lastly with the official soundtrack for the 2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup this feat with the webtoon OST "Stay Alive," his collaboration with Charlie Puth called "Left and Right," and lastly for the 2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup official soundtrack, titled ‘Dreamers.’

If all of his previously released solo songs were to have been included, the star is known to have reached the 1 billion stream mark earlier. However, his songs ‘Begin’, ‘Euphoria’ and ‘My Time’ from the BTS albums were not included in the count.

Last month, Jungkook was captured with renowned music producer Andrew Watt in the US, raising expectations for a possible solo album release.
