The official international poster for ‘Hopeless’ has been revealed. This marks Song Joong-Ki’s first Cannes Film as ‘Hopeless’ has received its first invitation to the 76th Cannes Film Festival.

The film ‘Hopeless’ (directed by Kim Chang-Hoon), tells the story of a young boy named Yeon-Gyu (played by Hong Sa-Bin) who wants to escape from a dark reality. He meets the middle boss of an organization named Chi-Geon (played by Song Joong-Ki) and sets foot into a dangerous world together.

The published poster displays the back of two men standing in front of a lake. It depicts the two male leads: Yeon-Gyu (played by Hong Sa-Bin) standing next to Chi-Geon (played by Song Joong-Ki). Yeon-Gyu is an 18-year-old boy who has nowhere to rely on in a bleak reality, and Chi-Geon is a character who has lived his own way.

Previously, the young actor Hong Sa-Bin has received acclamation for his acting skills in short films such as ‘A Leave, 2021’ and ‘Save Me.’ His solid acting skills and potential that will be shown through his first leading role in ‘Hopeless’ has raised expectations for the upcoming release. Viewers are excited to watch how his intricate portrayal of the complex inner world of a vulnerable character will unfold. Song Joong-Ki’s character Chi-Geon is the middle boss of an organization who feels empathy for Yeon-Gyu and guides him through life as well as a promise to transform Yeon-Gyu.

‘Hopeless’ is scheduled to be released in Korea later this year.
