On May 12th, YG Entertainment announced that their new girl group ‘Baby Monster’ would be making a debut later this year with seven members. It is the first time in seven years that YG Entertainment are unleashing a girl group after Blackpink, and the expectation levels are rocketing high.
Baby Monster will include the following seven members: Ahyeon, Ruka, Chiquita, Haram, Pharita, Rora and Asa.
Originally, Executive Producer Yang Hyun-Seok revealed through an open evaluation that he had planned to make the group five members. Yang directly revealed the debut members through a video posted on the official YG Entertainment blog and unveiled that, “Asa and Rora were chosen by their fans.”
Baby Monster plans to showcase group and unit activities while continuing preparations with the goal of making their debuting this coming fall.
