On June 1st, JTBC and BeLift Lab announced that they have begun filming for the new girl group survival program ‘R U Next?.’ The program will determine a next generation global girl group under Hybe Labels.
Participants who dream of a K-pop debut will undergo systematic training within a structured curriculum. They will engage in various ‘survival’ rounds to prove their potential and star quality.
The production team explained, "A total of seven competition rounds will be held, looking into potential, expression, genre adaptation, professionalism, distinctiveness, creativity and star quality."
They added, "Although a fierce competition will be inevitable, we will focus on their daily training episodes and relationships of the trainees."
‘R U Next?’ will premiere on Korea’s JTBC and Japan's Abema TV on June 30th at 20:50 (KST). The show will consist of a total of 10 episodes. Stay in tune!
