On June 5th, actress Uhm Hyun-Kyung and actor Cha Seo-Won announced their marriage and pregnancy.
The two met on the set of MBC drama ‘The Second Husband’ last year. According to reports, the pair developed a romantic relationship after the filming for the drama ended.
Uhm Hyun-Kyung was born in 1986, making her 37 this year, whereas the new groom Cha Seo-Won is five years her junior, born in 1991 aged 32 this year.
Previously, Uhm Hyun-Kyung has expressed her hopes to get married and settle down with a family on various interviews. During her talk on MBC’s ‘Omniscient Interfering View’, the actress said, "Since I was young, I have dreamed of having a baby and creating a beautiful family." She also revealed at that time, "There is someone I like", referring to Cha Seo-won.
Cha Seo-Won enlisted in the army as an active-duty soldier on November 22nd last year and is currently fulfilling his military duties. Uhm Hyun-Kyung is taking a break from her work as of now to focus on her pregnancy. It is reported that their wedding will take place officially after Cha Seo-Won is discharged from the military.
