Blackpink’s Jennie will be joining the Superhero Team.
On June 8th, the news of Blackpink’s Jennie and Marvel Studios working on the production of a first-ever Asian superhero team series ‘Team Agents of Atlas’, spread on Twitter. Jennie is reportedly to take on the role of Luna Snow.
Earlier this year in January, rumours of Jennie joining the Marvel team had already spread. Multiple foreign media outlets reported that there were plans for a merge of K-pop and superhero movies, citing statements from insiders at Marvel Studios.
Luna Snow is a character of a young Korean girl who was trapped in an industrial freezer and subjected to harsh scientific experiments. Later, she starts to sing, dance and earn a living as well as gain the ability to manipulate ice, as hinted in her name ‘Luna Snow.’
Considering that Jennie is the leader of Blackpink and is a multi-player in singing, dancing and acting, Jennie has been matched as the perfect role for the upcoming release.
Fans are ecstatic for the release and have shown reactions such as, "The synchronization between Luna Snow and Jennie is perfect", "She should take more acting lessons and she'll fit in perfectly" and "Marvel has created a character at the level of Jennie."
