Regarding rumors of the casting of Jo Yuri, a singer from the group IZ*ONE, in 'Squid Game 2' the agency said, "It cannot be officially confirmed".

On June 23, the agency Wake One declined to comment on Jo Yuri's appearance in the original Netflix series 'Squid Game 2' saying, "We ask for  understanding that it is difficult to confirm".

Netflix series 'Squid Game' tells the story of people who participated in a mysterious survival with a prize of 45.6 billion won risking their lives to challenge extreme games to become the final winner, and Season 1 was a global hit when it was aired in 2021.

In season 2, actors Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joon, Gong Yoo, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon and Yang Dong-geun were cast. Attention is focusing on whether Jo Yuri will actually join 'Squid Game 2' while the casting of the actress has not been made public.

Jo Yuri previously made a special appearance in the original TVing 'Drunken City Women's Season 2'.
