BTS J-Hope won the Best Star Award at the 'Korea Children's Awards'

The childFund Korea held the '3rd Korea Children's awards ceremony at Seoul City Hall on June 30.

J-Hope was honored with the 'Best Star Award'. Unfortunately, he couldn't attend the awards ceremony because he was serving in the military. 

Instead, a life-size figure of J-Hope was placed. Foundation officials and children took commemorative photos with bouquets and certificates.

'Korea Children's Awards' is an award ceremony to select people and organizations that have contributed to the promotion of children's rights. Children lead the whole process. Select, vote, and award candidates themselves.

Candidates were selected in eight categories in March. Children, adults, good companies, stars, writers, videos, legislation, and research sectors.

During the month of May, voting was held online and at 23 on-site polling stations nationwide. 30,020 children and adolescents under the age of 19 participated. 

J-Hope was nominated for the star category.The main contribution is that he donated more than 800 million won for children at home and abroad, motivating his fans around the world to donate.

The children also wrote recommendations. "We are taking the lead in helping underprivileged children and the disabled around the world and exercising good influence as a world-class artist".

Then wrote, "We were moved by the warm heart and steady donation practice as much as the wonderful appearance on the stage".

On this day, Ji Sung received the 'Best Children's Award' he donated eggs with his three-year savings. The 'Best Adult Award' was given to Kim Sang-sik, who distributed bread to elementary school students for free every day. 

Wanan, the author of the webtoon 'Homemate' won the 'Best Writer Award' The drama 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' won the 'Best Video Award' and 'Ottogi' won the 'Best Good Company Award'.

The 'Act on Stalking Prevention and Victim Protection' and the Gyeonggi Research Institute's paper 'Proliferation of No Kids Zone' received the 'Best Legislation and Research Award' respectively.
